•Portland Peace Church of the Brethren, produces a 30-minute community
television program hosted by Rachael Waas Shull each month known as "Brethren Voices."
The May program remembers peace rallies and vigils.
More than 100 communities across the country held events
on and around the fifth anniversary of the launching
of the Iraq war, and the sixth year of the U.S. occupation
has begun.
For three years, "Brethren Voices" has
interviewed participants at peace rallies to give voice
to dissent that is too often missing from our national
airwaves and cable shows. Interviews feature many different
individuals from various backgrounds and experiences.
The Iraq Body Count Exhibit, honoring all people
who have died in the war is featured in the May program.
Rachel Waas Shull hosts and Brent Carlson interviews
folks at the rally.
The program is also viewed across the country in the communities of La
Verne, CA., Westminster, MD; York, PA; Dayton, Ohio; Richmond, IN; Kent, WA;
Springfield, OR. If you want further information, contact producer Ed
Groff.
